Two couples - George and Carol Litras and George and Michele Cudnik - opened the boutique, in the Bonita Commons shopping center on South Tamiami Trail, in October 2008. The owners ran similar gift shops on Long Island, N.Y., and decided to start a joint venture in Bonita Springs.
As the exclusive local distributor for Pandora jewelry, the boutique has dedicated an entire section of the shop to its sophisticated Pandora pieces.
“We carry everything Pandora makes,” George Litras said.
Customers can have their pandora charms bracelets and necklaces cleaned for free while they shop, and those who need a break from perusing the boutique’s goods can plop into cushiony chairs and watch TV in the shopper’s lounge area. The boutique offers complimentary gift-wrapping and shipping for purchases over $50.
Across the store from the Pandora collection, small lights illuminate elegant Swarovski crystal earrings, shimmery bracelets and heart-shaped necklaces. Glittering figurines - multicolored flowers, miniature mice and rabbits and a luminescent tiger - rest inside a glass case.
A nearby display features Jim Shore’s American folk art and playful Disney figurines as well as nostalgic Lladro porcelain sculptures in the likeness of nurses, graduates and mothers cradling children.
And while many of the boutique’s collections feature high-end crystal, gold and porcelain, the shop offers plenty of more casual and lighthearted gifts as well. “We try to do hostess gifts,” George Litras said. “A lot of people will stop by on their way to an evening party.”
Shoppers can find hand-painted martini glasses, coffee mugs for everyone from golfers to cat lovers, football-themed party trays and eco-friendly plates made from bamboo and biodegradable corn. The boutique carries Brighton jewelry and accessories, decorative picture frames by Ashleigh Manor and Our Name is Mud and Blue Mountain Arts gift books.
“We have a little bit of everything,” Carol Litras said.
