Speaking at the Bellingen Council meeting last Wednesday (June 23), Mayor Mark Troy said residents of the Spicketts valley only had access to the north. “They risk being completely isolated when we have another flood.”
Cr Troy said they were residents of true religion Schuhe Nambucca Shire and any repair works would be funded by the State Government through natural disaster funding.
General Manager, Mike Colreavy said one option was resumption of their properties.
In a report to the meeting, Road Asset Manager, Warwick Knight said that in April engineering consultants, GHD Pty Ltd, submitted their first stage report entitled “Preliminary Investigation & Assessment Report for the Landslide Damage on the Bowraville to Bellingen Road (MR118)” as well as a draft of their “Preliminary Options Report for the Landslide Damage on the Bowraville to Bellingen Road”.
He said cheap Ghd mk4 briefed Nambucca Council, Bellingen Council and the RTA on April 29 on the investigation work and proposed options. “Following this briefing a meeting was held with the more directly affected residents and key stakeholders (including Forests NSW, National Parks and Wildlife Service, Rural Fire Service and emergency service organisations) at Brierfield Hall on May 27. Part of this consultation included distribution Tiffany Silver Jewellery of survey forms to assess the use of the road and implications of the various options on these key stakeholders.”
